Tennessee SB0185 amends Tennessee Code to set minimum and maximum reimbursement rates for rural hospitals serving TennCare enrollees. The minimum rate is 100% and the maximum is 120% of the current fiscal year Medicare reimbursement. The bill also defines "rural area" and "rural hospital" and requires the TennCare director to seek federal authorization to implement these changes. Additionally, it mandates the Bureau of TennCare to publish and update a list of MS-DRGs for rural hospitals annually.
