Tennessee SB0136 amends state law to allow county and municipal legislative bodies to conduct meetings with electronic participation, subject to certain conditions. Members can participate electronically if they are absent due to a family or medical emergency, military service, or inclement weather. The bill limits electronic participation to no more than three members and no more than two times per year. Meetings must remain open to the public with real-time access and a recording made available within two business days. The bill expires on July 1, 2028.
