This bill creates the office of County Attorney for Hamblen County, which will be elected annually by the Hamblen County Commission. The County Attorney will receive an annual retainer fee of $1200, payable in monthly installments from the County's general funds. The County Attorney is also entitled to additional reasonable compensation and reimbursement for expenses related to legal services provided to the County. The bill requires approval by a two-thirds vote of the Hamblen County legislative body to take effect.
