The bill amends the charter of the City of Adamsville to clarify the conditions under which a vacancy exists in the office of Mayor or Commissioner. A vacancy is declared if the mayor or a city commissioner resigns, dies, moves their residence from the city, or is removed from office. The remaining city commissioners must appoint a qualified person to fill the vacancy, who will serve until the next regular city election. If the commissioners fail to fill a vacancy within 45 days, the mayor must appoint a person within 15 days.
