This bill amends Tennessee law to allow governing bodies to conduct executive sessions for interviewing applicants for director-level staff positions without requiring public notice. Decisions on these positions cannot be made during the executive session but must be deliberated and voted on in an open, publicly noticed meeting. The minutes of the session must disclose all attendees except the job applicants. Attendance is limited to governing body members, relevant staff, and job applicants. Applicants can request confidentiality for their applications and interviews.
