Tennessee HB2457 amends Tennessee Code Annotated to require managed care organizations (MCO) and pharmacy benefits managers (PBM) to cover long-acting injectable drugs for HIV treatment and prevention. These drugs must be administered in a pharmacy, physician's office, clinic, ambulatory surgical treatment center, or hospital. The bill specifies that an MCO or PBM must reimburse a claim for such drugs and cover it as both a medical benefit and a pharmacy benefit. The changes take effect July 1, 2026.
