Tennessee HB2430 amends Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 41 and Title 71, to facilitate food assistance applications for inmates preparing for release. The bill requires the commissioner of human services to provide a food assistance application to the commissioner of correction. Inmates must have the opportunity to complete the application before release. The commissioner of correction must submit an annual report to the chief clerk of the senate, the chief clerk of the house of representatives, and the legislative librarian.
