Tennessee HB2425 amends regulations for commercial operations within the Ocoee River management zone.

Tennessee HB2425 modifies the Ocoee River management zone regulations, including permit transfers and issuances. Effective July 1, 2026, the maximum number of permits for commercial operations will be capped at 24, reducing to 12 as permits expire. Permits can only be transferred to immediate family members, purchasers of businesses, or authorized by department rule. The director of the division of state parks will complete the term of the manager of the Hiwassee/Ocoee Scenic River State Park and serve on the board.
