Tennessee HB2404 amends the appointment process for the medical cannabis commission.

Tennessee HB2404 modifies the appointment process for the medical cannabis commission by requiring the speaker of the senate to appoint three members. One member must be a physician licensed under title 63, chapter 6 or 9; one must be a pharmacist licensed under title 63, chapter 10; and one must be a specialist in substance abuse prevention. The speaker will select the substance abuse prevention specialist from a list of three names submitted by the Prevention Alliance of Tennessee. The act takes effect on July 1, 2025.
