Tennessee HB2332 amends pharmacy benefits manager reimbursement rules to ensure pharmacies receive fair compensation.
Tennessee HB2332 amends Tennessee Code to revise pharmacy benefits manager reimbursement rules. It mandates that pharmacy benefits managers must reimburse pharmacies at least the greater of the actual cost, 105% of the national average, or the amount paid to the manager or an affiliate. It also requires managers to establish an appeal process for pharmacies to challenge reimbursement rates. If a pharmacy prevails in an appeal, the manager must reimburse the pharmacy at least the actual cost within 14 days and apply the findings to all remaining refills. The act takes effect July 1, 2026.
