This bill amends Tennessee law to allow psychologists to prescribe medications for mental health conditions.

The bill modifies Tennessee Code to expand the scope of practice for psychologists, allowing them to prescribe medications for mental health conditions. It requires psychologists seeking to prescribe to complete additional education and training, pass an examination, and complete a fellowship. The bill also updates various sections of Tennessee Code to include "prescribing psychologist" where appropriate and mandates that psychologists maintain records of their prescriptions. The changes take effect on July 1, 2026.
