Amends Tennessee law to establish procedures for paying indemnities for destroyed animals.
This bill amends Tennessee Code to establish procedures for the payment of indemnities for animals destroyed under authority of the law. The commissioner, through rules and regulations, will determine the indemnity based on the fair market value of the animal and the availability of funds. If funds are insufficient, partial reimbursement may be allotted. The act does not appropriate funds and takes effect upon becoming law.
