Tennessee HB2094 amends Tennessee Code Annotated to ensure that the allocation of federal and state funds to rural planning organizations (RPOs) for transportation planning and implementation in nonmetropolitan areas remains in parity with the allocation to metropolitan planning organizations (MPOs) for urbanized areas. This applies to funds applied for or accepted on or after July 1, 2026. The act defines terms such as "metropolitan planning organization," "nonmetropolitan area," "rural planning organization," and "urbanized area." The changes take effect July 1, 2026.
