Tennessee HB2073 amends Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 2, Title 3, and Title 8, relative to lobbying. The bill modifies the definition of an employer for purposes of lobbying activities. Specifically, it removes language that exempts certain boards, utilities, districts, departments, agencies, or entities from being considered employers of lobbyists when they employ contractors, subcontractors, or other representatives. The bill takes effect upon becoming law, as the public welfare requires.
