Tennessee HB2046 amends TennCare reimbursement rules, increasing rates for certain healthcare providers.

Tennessee HB2046 amends TennCare reimbursement rules, increasing rates for physicians, advanced practice registered nurses, and physician assistants. Beginning July 1, 2026, the first $150 million of tax revenue collected will draw down federal funds to reimburse these providers up to 110% of the current Medicare reimbursement rate for specific CPT codes. The bill also mandates that the Bureau of TennCare and the Department of Commerce and Insurance promulgate rules to implement these changes.
