Tennessee HB2013 amends definitions and procedures for mass shootings and drug testing.

Tennessee HB2013 amends the definition of "mass shooting" to include shootings where four or more individuals are injured or where a reasonable person would conclude that the shooter attempted to kill four or more individuals. The bill also modifies procedures for blood and urine testing in mass shooting cases, ensuring that qualified practitioners are not held liable for procuring samples unless negligence is involved. Hospitals must send samples and test results to a health science center for study, and the center must include collected data in quarterly reports to the general assembly.
