Tennessee HB1999 amends public property transfer regulations, requiring state officials to notify the Joint Government Operations Committee before.

Tennessee HB1999 amends the Tennessee Code to require the Commissioner of General Services and the Chair of the State Capitol Commission to notify the Joint Government Operations Committee and relevant legislators before transferring state-owned real property to private entities. The transfer cannot proceed unless the committee approves it within 30 days of receiving notice. If no action is taken, the transfer is deemed disapproved. This act takes effect upon becoming law.
