HB1986 amends Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 40 and Title 41, to mandate that the department notify the chief law enforcement officer of the county and the police chief of the city, if any, in which the inmate resides when a furlough is granted to an inmate. This act takes effect upon becoming law.
