If a defendant violates a release condition, commits a new offense, or obstructs proceedings after being released on personal recognizance or a bond, the court can temporarily revoke the bond and hold the defendant without bail for up to ten days. Following a hearing, the court may permanently revoke the bond, keeping the defendant without bail pending trial. This act becomes effective July 1, 2026.
