HB1950 amends Tennessee's licensing requirements for speech language pathologists and audiologists.
HB1950 allows individuals who have passed the required examination or are licensed in another state to perform speech language pathology or audiological services without a license while their application is pending. It also permits provisional licenses for clinical fellows with a master's degree, without requiring an American Speech and Hearing Association (ASHA) certificate of clinical competence. The act takes effect July 1, 2026.
