Allows non-citizens to access law enforcement records pertaining to themselves under certain conditions.

This bill amends Tennessee's public records law to allow non-citizens to inspect or receive copies of law enforcement records that pertain solely to them. To qualify, the non-citizen must submit a written request, a copy of a valid government-issued photo ID, and a signed affidavit affirming the record pertains to them. This change does not apply to records that are otherwise confidential by law. The act will take effect on July 1, 2026.
