Tennessee HB1875 amends Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 48 and Title 66, to allow homeowners' associations to establish reasonable restrictions on the number, size, placement, and manner of installation of electric vehicle charging stations. The bill prohibits associations from prohibiting the installation of such stations in designated parking locations. It also requires property owners to indemnify associations from liability related to the installation, maintenance, operation, or use of the charging stations. The act takes effect July 1, 2026.
