Allows private school students to participate in public high school athletics if the public school is part of an athletic association.

Tennessee HB1785 amends the state's code to allow students enrolled in private schools with fewer than 200 students to participate in interscholastic athletics at public high schools that are members of an organization regulating such activities. This provision applies if the private school student is zoned to attend the public high school. The act ensures that private school students can try out for athletic teams at public schools without being barred solely due to their private school status, provided they meet eligibility requirements.
