Introduced·1/20/26
Draft Text

Tennessee HB1775 mandates health plans to cover clinical genetic testing and evidenced-based cancer imaging for individuals with a personal or family.

Tennessee HB1775 amends state laws to require health plans to include coverage for clinical genetic testing for inherited gene mutations and evidenced-based cancer imaging for individuals with an increased cancer risk. These services must be recommended by healthcare professionals and follow the National Comprehensive Cancer Network (NCCN) clinical practice guidelines. The coverage cannot be subject to cost-sharing requirements, except for preventive care services. The act takes effect July 1, 2026, and applies to plans issued, amended, or renewed on or after that date.
