Authorizes enforcement of traffic laws on private roadways within West Tennessee megasite by local law enforcement.
This bill amends Tennessee law to allow the West Tennessee megasite authority and local law enforcement agencies to enter into agreements for traffic law enforcement on designated private roadways within the megasite. These roadways must be privately owned and not dedicated to public use. The agreement requires the installation of traffic-control devices and speed-limit signs, and notice of law enforcement at each entrance. The agreement does not transfer ownership, design, construction, or maintenance responsibility to the governmental entity.
