Tennessee HB1725 amends Title 49 to ensure local education agencies (LEA) take necessary steps to provide services for dependent children of service members when they enroll. If a student is in grade eleven or twelve and their service member parent relocates on military orders, the student can remain enrolled in the same high school until graduation or withdrawal. The student or their parent must provide documentation within 60 days of the first school year or one year from the service member's duty start date, whichever is later. This act takes effect July 1, 2026.
