This bill amends Tennessee law to allow county mayors to order flags on county property to be lowered to half-staff in honor of a prominent citizen's death. It also allows the chief executive officer of a municipality to order flags on municipal property to be lowered to half-staff for the same reason. The act takes effect immediately upon becoming law.
