Tennessee HB1550 modifies Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 49 and Title 68, Chapter 140, Part 5, to allow schools to use epinephrine for treating anaphylactic reactions in students. The bill removes the requirement for schools to have an epinephrine auto-injector and instead allows for the use of epinephrine. It also allows schools to maintain epinephrine and permits school nurses or trained personnel to use it if a student's personal supply is unavailable.
