Allows deceased members of the Tennessee General Assembly to lie in state at the state capitol building.
The bill amends Tennessee Code to allow the governor and the speakers of the senate and house of representatives to authorize a deceased member or former member of the general assembly to lie in state at the state capitol building for up to one day if requested by an immediate family member. "Immediate family member" includes a spouse, parent, sibling, or child. The act takes effect upon becoming law.
