Tennessee HB1527 amends Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 49, to require child trafficking prevention and awareness education in all public schools as part of health education for students in grades K-12. Local boards of education and public charter school governing bodies must submit implementation plans and reports to the commissioner of education. The act also allows the use of qualified healthcare professionals or social workers to assist in teaching this education. This act takes effect upon becoming a law and applies to the 2026-2027 school year and subsequent school years.
