HB1522 amends Tennessee Code to update vehicle registration exemptions for military personnel stationed outside the state.

HB1522 modifies Tennessee Code Annotated, Section 55-4-116 and Section 55-6-107 to update the vehicle registration exemption for military personnel stationed outside the state. The bill allows service members stationed outside Tennessee to qualify for an exemption from additional registration fees when renewing their vehicle registration. To qualify, the service member must provide a copy of their official orders to the county clerk at the time of registration renewal. The Tennessee Code Commission is requested to update cross-references to reflect these changes.
