Tennessee HB1455 amends state law to prohibit the training of artificial intelligence to encourage or support acts of suicide, criminal homicide, or to develop emotional relationships with individuals. It also bans AI from acting as a licensed mental health professional or simulating human interactions. The bill allows individuals or their representatives to bring civil actions for violations, seeking damages, punitive damages, and legal costs. The act takes effect July 1, 2026.
