Amends City of Milan's legislative body procedures and property sale authority.
This bill amends the City of Milan's legislative body procedures and property sale authority. It deletes the City Recorder's role in executing contracts and removes a section on appointing Aldermen. It extends the time for filling Alderman vacancies to 60 days. The Mayor can now sell surplus property valued over $2,500 or any real property with Board approval. Disbursements require authorization from the Mayor, City Treasurer, Vice-Mayor, or their designees. The bill requires a two-thirds vote from the City of Milan's legislative body to take effect.
