AN ACT to amend Chapter 553 of the Acts of 1903; as amended by Chapter 311 of the Private Acts of 1974 and Chapter 233 of the Private Acts of 1978; and any other acts amendatory thereto, relative to the city judge of the City of Tullahoma.

Extends the term of the City Judge of Tullahoma and changes election frequency and term length.

This bill extends the term of the City Judge of Tullahoma for one year, from August 2025 to August 2026. Beginning in 2026, the City Judge will be elected every eight years, instead of the current four years. The bill requires the judge to be a practicing attorney in good standing and a resident of Tullahoma for one year before the election. The City of Tullahoma must approve the act by a two-thirds vote for it to take effect.
