Tennessee HB1176 amends annexation requirements by requiring two-thirds consent from property owners and specific area and parcel conditions.

Tennessee HB1176 changes the conditions for annexation by requiring two-thirds of property owners within the proposed annexation area to consent in writing. Additionally, the total area of property owned by consenting owners must be more than half of the proposed annexation area, and the annexation must consist of nine or fewer parcels. This act takes effect immediately upon becoming law.
