Establishes requirements for hospital systems' boards of directors in Tennessee.
This bill amends Tennessee law to set rules for hospital systems' boards of directors. It defines a hospital system as two or more hospitals or entities in a cooperative agreement with a public advantage certificate. The board must consist of nine voting members nominated by the governor and confirmed by the general assembly. Members serve staggered terms of one, two, or three years. Meetings must be streamed and archived online. A quorum requires five members. The governor can remove members for missing too many meetings.
