Tennessee HB1017 amends Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 12 and Title 55, Chapter 50, to require that all driver licenses and photo identification licenses be manufactured and printed within the state. The Department of Safety must review and determine the cost-effectiveness of having these licenses produced by the department, another state department or agency, or through a contract with a private vendor. The licenses must be manufactured and printed in the state, regardless of the method chosen.
