Amends Tennessee Code to change the composition of governing boards of institutions of higher education.
This bill amends Tennessee Code to change the composition of governing boards of institutions of higher education. It deletes a provision that allowed members of a governing body for another institution of higher education to serve on a state university board. If a state university board member is serving on the governing board for another institution of higher education on the effective date of this act, their seat on the state university board is vacated. The appropriate appointing authority shall fill the vacancy for the remainder of the term.
