Amends Tennessee Code to include the general assembly in the review of higher education policies.
This bill amends Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 49, Chapter 14; Title 49, Chapter 7; Title 49, Chapter 8 and Title 49, Chapter 9, relative to higher education. It modifies Section 49-7-1804(f) by removing "and the department of safety" and adding ", the department of safety, and the general assembly" to the list of entities involved in the review of higher education policies. This change ensures the general assembly is included in the review process. The act takes effect upon becoming law.
