Tennessee HB0957 amends Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 8, Chapter 50, Part 8, to revise leave provisions for state employees. It grants eligible employees up to six workweeks of paid leave for the birth of their child, placement for adoption, or becoming a foster parent. The leave must be taken within twelve months of the qualifying event and does not need to be consecutive. Eligible employees must provide thirty days' notice, or as soon as reasonably possible if the event is discovered less than thirty days in advance.
