Tennessee HB0899 amends Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 47, Chapter 18 and Title 68, Chapter 201, to regulate weather modification practices. It defines "cloud seeding" and "weather modification" and prohibits weather-related companies from altering cloud development, using fires or heat sources to influence weather, modifying solar radiation exchange, or treating land or water surfaces to influence weather. Violations are subject to penalties under the Tennessee Consumer Protection Act of 1977. The act takes effect on July 1, 2025.
