Tennessee HB0896 amends regulatory actions related to drinking water, water pollution control, hazardous substances, contaminated site remediation, air quality, and solid or hazardous waste handling. Agencies must use reliable, unbiased, and reasonably applied science that maximizes quality, objectivity, and integrity. This applies to actions adopted after July 1, 2025, and more stringent than federal regulations or in the absence of federal action.
