Tennessee HB0854 amends Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 24; Title 39 and Title 40, relative to criminal procedure. It allows magistrates to consider reliable hearsay evidence, including computer printouts of state and federal criminal records, when determining the amount of bail. The defendant must be given a fair opportunity to rebut any hearsay evidence considered. This act takes effect upon becoming a law, the public welfare requiring it.
