Tennessee HB0814 amends the state's firearms law to allow honorably discharged or retired veterans of the United States armed forces, as well as active duty members of the armed forces or reserves who have completed basic training, to carry handguns openly or concealed. The bill also allows individuals aged 18 or older who meet these criteria to carry handguns. Counties may opt out of this exception by passing a resolution, which would then require public notice.
