HB0809 amends Tennessee pesticide law to protect manufacturers and sellers from liability for pesticide labeling issues.

HB0809 amends Tennessee Code to shield manufacturers and sellers of pesticides from civil liability for labeling issues, provided the pesticide was registered with the Tennessee commissioner and the EPA under FIFRA at the time of sale. This protection does not apply if the pesticide was manufactured or sold in violation of state or federal laws. The act takes effect immediately upon becoming law.
