Expands definition of "state employee" to include certain soil and water conservation district personnel and volunteers.
This bill amends Tennessee Code to expand the definition of "state employee" to include the board of supervisors and other officers, employees, and agents of a soil and water conservation district, as well as persons designated by such districts as participants in volunteer programs. This change applies solely for the purposes of Title 8, Chapter 42 and Title 9, Chapter 8, and under specific sections of Title 9, Chapter 8. The act takes effect immediately upon becoming law.
