Tennessee HB0719 amends Title 68, Chapter 121 of the Tennessee Code to mandate final acceptance inspections for private residence elevators by the chief elevator inspector before they are placed in service. Homeowners must then register these elevators with the department. The chief elevator inspector is also tasked with developing and maintaining a database of private residence elevators. The act takes effect July 1, 2025.
