Tennessee HB0495 amends medical records fees for paper and electronic formats.

Tennessee HB0495 modifies the fees for medical records in both paper and electronic formats. For paper records, the bill sets a maximum fee of $25 for five pages or less, with an additional $0.50 per page for each page beyond five. Electronic records have a maximum fee of $25 for CD, DVD, or USB formats, and $15 for emailed or sent via a medical record portal. Certification or notarization fees are capped at $20. The bill also specifies fees for radiology images and mailing costs. The changes take effect July 1, 2025.
