Tennessee HB0480 amends Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 62 and Title 66, Chapter 5, Part 1, to require that descriptions of real property in deeds of conveyance must be prepared by a registered land surveyor. This requirement applies only to properties not previously described in a recorded instrument. The act exempts deeds prepared by or for governmental departments or agencies. The changes take effect immediately upon becoming law, as the public welfare demands.
