Tennessee HB0448 mandates local education agencies and public charter schools to include specific training in their programs.

Tennessee HB0448 amends the education code to require local education agencies and public charter schools to incorporate at least two hours annually of evidence-based skills training on positive behavioral interventions, conflict prevention, functional behavior assessments, de-escalation, and conflict management. This training can also satisfy part of the in-service training required by another section of the code. The bill also removes a subdivision from another section of the education code.
